Glass Jars
Why are the glass jars so affordable:
We work directly with the factories. Factories often produce more than required in case of breakages and faults in the product. Once they fulfill the orders, we buy the extras and pass the savings onto you. Affordable doesn’t mean less quality. *Hint: we know these factories produce for some big brands globally!*
Are the glass jars safe for candles:
Yes! Our jars are made from tempered glass that can withstand high temperatures.
Glass jar looks dirty on the inner surface:
There is often a release agent used in the production of the glass jars. Wipe the inner surface with isopropyl alcohol before adhering the wick.
Stickum moved or “flipped to the surface”:
Jar is not cleaned or too much heat generated. Ensure the glass jar is cleaned with isopropyl alcohol before adhering the wick. Use a small wick or change to any type of wick to ensure a good melt pool without generating too much heat.
What size wick should I use:
Check the size and type of your wax. You may have to test wicks to find the best match. Wick sizes are dependent on the diameter of the jar and the type of wax used. We recommend starting with a wick size that’s 1-2 sizes smaller than the diameter of the jar.
Soy Wax
Why use soy wax:
Soy wax is a renewable resource, burns cleaner than paraffin wax, and is often easier to work with for home candle-making. It’s a preferred choice for many due to its environmental benefits and even burn.
How do I store soy wax:
Store soy wax in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
What is the melting point of soy wax:
Soy wax typically has a melting point between 120-180°F (49-82°C), depending on the blend and specific type of soy wax used.
Why does my candle have a rough surface:
Rough surfaces can be due to temperature fluctuations during pouring or curing. Ensure the pouring temperature is consistent and avoid drafts while the candle sets.
Can soy wax be used for making container candles:
Yes, soy wax is perfect for container candles. It adheres well to containers and burns evenly, making it a popular choice for many candle makers.
How do I achieve a smooth surface on my candles:
Ensure your wax is melted and poured at the correct temperature and allow your candles to cure in a draft-free environment. You can also top off the candles with additional melted wax if necessary to smooth the surface.
PAYMENT
Credit cards / Paypal:
We only accept Visa and Master cards. We do not accept American Express cards and Paypal payments as transactional costs are higher. Low transaction cost means no credit card fees passed on to our customers.
